Import Inventory by Manifest (Metrc)

Learn how to import and bulk-import inventory from Metrc manifests into Flowhub Maui.

Written by Valerie

Flowhub Manifest Import makes it quick and easy to receive inventory from Metrc transfers directly into Flowhub. In this article, we'll guide you through importing individual packages and bulk-importing previously matched inventory so your team can get new stock ready for sale faster.

As you use the Manifest tab, Flowhub learns which Product in your Catalog matches each incoming Metrc package. Over time, this means fewer manual selections and faster imports through the Bulk Import feature.

The following must be in place to import by Metrc Manifest in Flowhub:

Import a Manifest

  1. Navigate to the Main Menu in the top-left corner and select Inventory.

  2. Select Manifests from the purple bar across the top of the page.

    • Use the Last Modified Date picker to view Manifests by date. The page will only display Manifests that correspond to the date selected.

  3. Select the Manifest you would like to import.

    • The Manifest must be accepted in Metrc first. Once accepted, the Metrc logo on the Manifest turns green, and you can select Receive Manifest in Flowhub to display the packages associated with the Manifest.

  4. Select a Package in the Manifest, then select Create Inventory.

  5. A prompt will display to select the Product from your Catalog and bring the package into your inventory. Package details from Metrc will display on the right side of the page.

  6. Select Select A Product to choose the Product to associate with the Package, and complete all required fields. Any field marked with an asterisk (*) must be completed.

    • πŸ’‘ Tip: If you don't have the Product built in your Catalog yet, select Create a New Product to build it directly from this view.

  7. Select Save to import the Package from the Manifest into Flowhub.

    • A message will display confirming the package has been imported. Successfully imported packages will be marked with the Flowhub icon and the message "Package has already been imported into Flowhub."

Bulk Import Manifests

If you're importing product from a Manifest that contains packages you've brought into your Flowhub inventory before, you can save time by using the Bulk Import feature.

  1. Navigate to the Main Menu in the top-left corner and select Inventory.

  2. Select Manifests from the purple bar across the top of the page.

    • Use the Last Modified Date picker to filter Manifests by date.

  3. Select Receive Manifest on a Manifest that has a green Metrc icon (a Manifest that has already been received in Metrc) to view the Packages associated with the Manifest.

  4. If there are any Packages that you've brought into Inventory before, a Bulk Import button will display in the upper-right corner of the Manifest. In the below example, two (2) of the items of the 25 remaining in the Manifest have been brought into this store's inventory previously.

    • If you are importing inventory that has never been imported at your location before, but you have other stores in the same state that have imported that inventory previously, Flowhub will suggest the most recently matched product from a store located in the same state as the store you're importing into.

    • If the Bulk Import button does not display, none of the Packages in this Manifest have been previously imported at your location or at another store in the same state. Select each package and select Create Inventory to associate the package with a Product in your Catalog to bring into your Inventory.

  5. Select the Bulk Import button. A prompt will display to select a Room to store the entire quantity of the packages you're bulk importing.

  6. Select Import to create the inventory in Flowhub.

  7. For any packages that could not be Bulk Imported, select them individually in the Manifest, then select Create Inventory to associate a Product in your Catalog with those items.

    • πŸ’‘ Tip: The next time you import packages of those items, Flowhub will remember which Products you associated previously, and they will be available for Bulk Import in future Manifests.

  8. If there are any missing required fields on the Inventory item that cannot be completed through Bulk Import, those items will be tagged with the yellow Out of Compliance warning.

    • Use the More Filters button in Inventory to enable the Non-compliant filter to view everything with this warning.

    • Select Edit on each inventory item to fill in the missing required field. When all required fields are completed, the Out of Compliance warning will go away.

Rejected Packages

Rejected items will not be included in Metrc Manifests. Only unrejected items will display.

If a Metrc Manifest contains only rejected items, the entire Manifest will not be visible. For example, if there are three Manifests that each contain only a single rejected item, none of those Manifests will display.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I don't see any Manifests on the page?

  • Confirm the Last Modified Date picker is set to the correct date range. Manifests only display for packages with a Last Modified Date within the past 90 days.
