Flowhub batch-specific pricing makes it quick and easy to price and cost a single batch differently from the rest of the inventory on that product. In this article, we'll guide you through setting it so your team can keep margins accurate when a supplier's cost or your shelf price changes.
Batch-specific pricing is an option when adding new inventory. Values you enter apply only to that batch — the product's default price and cost are left untouched for every other batch.
When to use batch-specific pricing
Consider setting a batch-specific price or cost when:
The cost from the supplier changed for this delivery.
You want to charge a different shelf price for this batch, for example on a lower-potency lot.
You need accurate margin reporting on a batch that came in above or below your usual cost.
Set a batch-specific price and cost
In Flowhub Maui, navigate to Inventory and begin adding the new inventory.
In the pricing area of the form, review the grayed-out price and cost on the left. These are the values set on the product at the inventory level.
If those values are correct for this batch, you do not need to enter them again on the right.
To use different values for this batch, enter the Batch Specific Price and Batch Specific Cost on the right.
For flower products, the price field displays a price profile (such as "Middle Shelf") rather than a dollar amount.
Leave both fields blank to use the product's default price and cost from the catalog.
Select Save.
Note: If your dispensary uses Flowhub's Out the Door pricing and sells inventory to Med and Rec customers at different price points, do not change the batch-specific door price. Doing so will override the Med and Rec prices you have set.
Import wholesale costs automatically (Metrc)
In Metrc states, Flowhub can fill the batch-specific cost in for you. When a supplier enters a wholesale price on the item on the manifest in Metrc, Flowhub displays that Wholesale Cost on the incoming Transfer and inserts the Unit Cost into the Batch Specific Cost field automatically — on single imports and on bulk imports from Manifests.

What happens if I leave the batch price and cost blank?
The inventory uses the product's default price and cost from the catalog.
Does a batch-specific price change the product for every batch?
No. The values apply only to the batch you are adding. Other batches of the same product keep the product's default price and cost.
My dispensary uses Out the Door pricing. Can I still set a batch-specific price?
Set the batch-specific cost as usual, but leave the batch-specific door price alone. Changing it overrides the separate Med and Rec prices set on the product.
Can I set batch-specific pricing when splitting a package?
Yes. The price and cost fields are available on each child package in the split or sublot form. See Split or Sublot Inventory Packages in Maui.
