Set up METRC API Key in Flowhub
For employees to push sales to METRC via API, that user must assign an API key from their Metrc account to their Flowhub account.
Get a Valid Metrc API Key
API keys must first be generated within your Metrc portal. Use the following steps to create the Metrc API key:
Log in to your Metrc account by going to https://www.metrc.com/.
Select "Login" in the upper right corner, select your state and log in.
Once signed in, select the down arrow next to your license name in the upper right corner of the page.
Click "API Keys" from the drop-down.
Select the "Generate API Key" button. Once the key is generated, copy it with your cursor.
You may notice that there is a red circle with a line when trying to copy your API Ket in METRC; you can still highlight the API key and copy it
Note: Always generate a new API key when assigning the key to a Flowhub profile. Any changes to your Metrc account will render a previously entered/generated API key outdated. For any Metrc related errors or questions, please visit https://www.metrc.com/support.
Assign an API Key to Flowhub
Select "EMPLOYEE" from the pop-out menu
Select "USERS" then find and select your name.
You can also select "Account" at the bottom of the pop-out menu.
You can only change the API key of person who is signed in
Select the "EDIT" button.
Enter your API Key and your corresponding state.
You can enter an API key for each state you operate in.
Please Note: If you encounter an error assigning your Metrc API Key to your account, you may want to check with a supervisor to verify your permissions in Metrc. If you are still having an issue, please reach out to Flowhub's Product Support team.
If you encounter the error, "There was a problem contacting METRC's API, you may have a bad API key," you'll need to regenerate an API through your Metrc portal and assign that new key to the appropriate employee in Maui.
