Flowhub Store Settings make it quick and easy to tailor checkout, payments, printing, and compliance to the way your store runs. In this article, we'll guide you through opening Store Settings, saving changes, and what each setting controls.

πŸ’‘ Tip: Only users with the right Permissions can view and change Store Settings.

Open Store Settings

  1. Select the main menu in the top-left corner.

  2. Under Admin, select Account.

Maui main menu with Account selected under Admin, which opens Store settings
  3. Store settings opens. Select a section name on the left side of the page to jump to that section.

Change and Save Settings

  1. Find the setting you want to change, then check or uncheck its box, or select a new option.

  2. Select Save all settings in the upper-right corner of the page.

πŸ’‘ Tip: Save all settings stays greyed out until you change something. Settings that depend on another setting display beside it, connected by a line, and stay greyed out until that setting is turned on.

πŸ’‘ Tip: Select the β“˜ icon beside any setting to see a short description in Maui.

Cashier

Cashier settings control how your team checks out customers and fulfills orders.

Guest Checkout

  • Guest Checkout - Verify and Enter Birthday β€” Guest checkout requires a date of birth and only allows guests 21 or older.

  • Guest Checkout - No Customer Identifier β€” Guests can check out without entering a customer identifier. Contact Product Support to have Guest Checkout turned on for your store. Learn about Guest Checkout

Order Fulfillment Options

  • Scan to Verify β€” During order ahead fulfillment, each item and quantity must be scanned to confirm it. The cart stays intact throughout. Learn about Scan to Verify

  • Do not require Scan to Verify on unregulated items β€” Available when Scan to Verify is on. Items in categories without a regulatory type, such as accessories, don't need a scan and don't block checkout.

  • Clear Cart When Printing Order Ticket β€” Clears the cart when an order ticket prints. Each item must be added or scanned again before payment is collected.

Cart Rounding

  • Allow Cart Totals To Be Rounded Up β€” Adds a button at checkout that rounds the cart total up. Learn about Cart Rounding

  • Round Up Fee Name β€” The fee name that displays on receipts when a cart is rounded up.

  • Round up to Nearest β€” The increment Flowhub rounds up to: Dollar, Half Dollar ($0.50), Quarter ($0.25), Dime ($0.10), or Nickel ($0.05). Flowhub only rounds up, never down.

  • Apply Rounding Automatically at Checkout β€” Rounds every cart up automatically, so your team doesn't need to select the round-up button.

Checkout and Cart

  • In Store Fulfillment β€” Sends in-store orders to fulfillment, where they are marked as ready before payment is collected. Learn about Order Fulfillment

  • Recheck Customer ID β€” When a budtender selects a customer from the queue, they must confirm the customer's name and date of birth before building the cart or taking payment.

  • Play 'Ding' Sound On Order Ahead Page β€” Plays the new order sound while you're on the Order Ahead tab. The sound already plays on every other page in Maui.

  • Do Not Require PIN For Inline Discounts β€” Lets any team member add a manual discount in the cart without entering their PIN.

  • Show Purchase History From Active Store Only β€” For multi-store clients. Customer purchase history only shows purchases made at the current store.

  • Disable "Apply Points to Cart" β€” Removes the option to redeem loyalty points in the cart. Customers still earn points as usual.

  • Disable Gift Card SKU Generation β€” Hides the Generate SKU button when creating a gift card. Use this if your gift cards already have SKUs. Learn about Gift Cards

Tender Types

Turn on each tender type you want as an option when collecting payment: Debit, Gift Card, AeroPay, Credit, or Other.

  • Print Receipt & Pop Drawer β€” Prints a receipt and opens the cash drawer.

  • Pop Drawer Only β€” Opens the cash drawer without printing a receipt.

  • Do Nothing β€” Doesn't print a receipt or open the drawer.

πŸ’‘ Tip: To open the drawer automatically, your cash drawer must be connected to your receipt printer.

Order Tickets

  • Print Order Notes On Order Ticket β€” Includes order notes on printed order tickets.

  • Print Order Ticket At The Register β€” Selecting Send to Fulfillment prints the order ticket on the register's receipt printer, which can also open its cash drawer. Turn this off if a fulfillment station already prints new order tickets automatically.

  • Hide Product Descriptions On Order Tickets β€” Leaves each product's description (its inventory notes) off printed order tickets. Customer order notes are controlled separately.

Inventory

Inventory settings control where refunded products go.

Inventory section of Store settings showing the Refunded Inventory Room selector
  • Refunded Inventory Room β€” Choose the Room refunded items are returned to. We recommend a separate Room, such as "Returned Inventory," so returns don't go straight back to the sales floor.

  • Return Items To Inventory By Default During Refunds β€” Items in a refund are set to return to inventory by default. Your team can change this in the cart.

πŸ’‘ Tip: The Return to Inventory option only displays after a Refunded Inventory Room is selected.

Customers

Customers settings control data retention and age limits.

Customers section of Store settings showing data retention settings and Minimum Med Customer Age
  • Require Consent For Customer Data Retention β€” Adds a Consents to Data Retention checkbox to customer profiles. If it isn't checked, the profile isn't saved or searchable, and sales are recorded under a generic recreational customer.

  • Auto-Retain Customer Data β€” Available when Require Consent is on. Checks Consents to Data Retention by default on new profiles. Uncheck it if a customer doesn't consent.

  • Minimum Med Customer Age β€” Medical stores only. Blocks checkout for medical customers under the age you select: None, 18, or 21.

πŸ’‘ Tip: Consent can't be added to a profile later. If a profile was created without consent, create a new profile with the box checked.

Deals & Loyalty

Deals & Loyalty settings control how deals combine and how customers join loyalty.

  • Require PIN After Inactivity β€” Team members must enter their PIN after 15 minutes of inactivity to use Maui again.

  • Select Store Operating Hours β€” Enter your store hours so Flowhub can schedule maintenance when it has the least impact on your business. Select Add Another Time/Day Range to add more hours.

Regulatory Compliance

Regulatory Compliance settings keep Flowhub in sync with your state's regulator. Some settings are required in certain states, and some only display for certain regulators.

Regulatory Compliance section of Store settings showing package, check-in, and Metrc automation settings

Rooms and Packages

  • Entire Package Must Be In One Room β€” Package or batch quantities can't be split between Rooms.

  • Push Inventory/Package Moves to Regulator β€” Available when Entire Package Must Be In One Room is on. Moving an item between Rooms in Flowhub also moves it between Locations or Rooms in your regulator.

πŸ’‘ Tip: Consolidate each inventory item into one Room before turning on these settings, and make sure your users have permission to move packages in your regulator.

  • Enable On Hold Packages β€” Packages that are On Hold in your regulator display with an On Hold icon in Flowhub and can't be sold.

Check-in and Purchase Limits

  • Enable Live Checkin β€” Shows a medical patient's current purchase limits from the regulator in the cart. Only available in certain states.

  • Block Checkout If Live Limit Check Fails β€” Available when Enable Live Checkin is on. Blocks a sale to a medical patient when Flowhub can't get their purchase limits from the regulator.

  • Block Checkin If Med Certification Is Expired β€” Medical customers with an expired certification can't be checked in.

  • Limit Customer Purchases By Category β€” Lets you choose, on a customer's profile, which categories they can buy. For example, Mississippi stores use this to sell only topicals to recreational customers.

  • Enable Potency % warnings for Medical Purchase Limits β€” For Colorado medical stores. A warning displays in the cart when a product exceeds a patient's potency % allotment. Learn about Potency % Warnings

  • Flag Inventory Items Over the Individual Item Purchase Limit β€” Flags items whose vendor testing information makes them unsellable because they exceed potency purchase limits. Most common in BioTrack markets.

Sales Reporting

  • Enable Live Sales Push β€” Sends each sale to the regulator as soon as it's completed.

  • Regulator user β€” Select the user whose API key Flowhub uses with your regulator. The label names your regulator, such as "User's API key will be used when auditing Metrc sales uploads."

  • Automatically Look Up External Inventory IDs When Saving Inventory Items β€” Turns on Metrc Retail ID and LucidID support in Flowhub. Learn about LucidID

  • Automatically Audit Metrc Deliveries β€” Links delivery sale records when Flowhub and Metrc don't match, and re-pushes failed delivery sales nightly. Not available in California because of Metrc API limits there.

  • Automatically Audit Metrc Sales and Re-Push Failed Sales β€” Finds sales that don't match between Flowhub and Metrc, then repairs and re-pushes them.

  • Automatically Report Any Unreported Sales Nightly (4am Eastern) β€” Reports any unreported sales to Metrc each night, including sales that haven't been pushed yet.

Ecomm

Ecomm settings control how online orders are handled.

Ecomm section of Store settings showing Create guest customers for online orders without contact info
  • Create guest customers for online orders without contact info β€” When an online or kiosk order has no phone number or medical ID, Flowhub creates a new guest customer for it instead of rejecting the order.

Multi-Store

Multi-Store settings let you set each store's value from one page. To apply one value to every store, enter it in All Stores and select Set all. Select Reset to clear it.

Multi-Store section of Store settings showing per-store day values with All Stores, Set all, and Reset
  • Finish Metrc packages at 0 quantity β€” Enter how many days a package can sit at 0 quantity before Flowhub finishes it in Metrc. Metrc finishes packages automatically after 30 days, so use this to finish them sooner.

  • Delete inventory at 0 quantity β€” By default, Flowhub deletes 0-quantity inventory with no discrepancies after 30 days. Enter a different number of days per store. After that many days, the inventory is hidden, then permanently deleted that night.

πŸ’‘ Tip: Set the deletion timeframe to at least the number of days you accept refunds or voids. A refund can't return an item to inventory once it's been deleted.

  • Cumulative Taxes β€” Check each store that needs cumulative tax calculation. Set up the taxes in Pricing and Taxes afterward. Learn about Cumulative Taxes

  • Enter total instead of denominations when opening or closing a drawer β€” Check a store to have your team enter one cash total, instead of each denomination, when opening or closing a drawer. Learn about Drawers

  • Pack Bulk Inventory into Any Product β€” Check a store to let your team pack bulk inventory into any product in the catalog, such as pre-rolls. When off, bulk inventory can only be packed into variants of the same product. Not available in New Mexico, New York, or Florida.

  • Set default SKU on new Regulated inventory import β€” Choose Random String or Regulatory ID as the SKU for each store's regulated inventory imports. This applies to new imports only, and you can always edit a SKU manually. Learn about UPC and SKU

πŸ’‘ Tip: Packed bulk items, split packages, and CSV uploads always get a random string SKU.
