Maui's Users and Roles make managing employees quick and easy. For more information on creating and editing Roles that allow you to manage permissions across your dispensary, see our article on Roles here.
Employees
Creating a New User
- Select "Employees" from the pop-out menu in the top left corner. 
- Select "New User." 
- Enter the Employee’s First Name, Last Name, Email, Role & Stores. - You will use your email address to log in. 
- NOTE: You will not be able to update or change the Email Address associated with an Employee. If you need to update an Employee's email address, you will need to deactivate their current Employee profile and re-create their user with the new email address. 
 
- If your Store has a View subscription, you can give the Employee access to log into View by enabling "Has View Access." - If your store does not have a View subscription, enabling "Has View Access" on one Employee will start a 30 day trial of View from the day the first Employee's View access was enabled. 
 
- Once a user is created, they will receive an email to set up their account with a temporary password. - They will receive a separate email with a PIN. - Users can change their PIN to a 4-digit number they will remember using the "Reset PIN" button in the lower-left corner of the main Menu when logged in to Maui. 
 
 
- After the User sets up their account, they can add their Metrc API key. - You can add more than one State API Key if you have stores in multiple states. 
 
Editing a User
- Select "Employees" from the pop-out menu in the top left corner. 
- Select "Users" at the top menu. 
- Select the Employee from the list that you wish to edit. 
- Select the "Edit" button on the right side of the screen. - You can remove employees if they no longer work at your dispensary by selecting "Delete" on the right side of the window when the Employee is selected. 
 
Uploading Files to an Employee
Image files or documents can be uploaded to Employee profiles.
- Select "Employees" from the pop-out menu in the top left corner. 
- Select "Users" at the top menu. 
- Select the Employee from the list to which you wish to add a file and click "Edit" from the pane on the right side of the window. 
- Scroll down to "File Uploads". 
- You can Drag & Drop or select an image from your device to upload. If the file type is allowed, the file will upload to the application and keep the name of the file. - The file name can be edited directly in Maui. 
 
- Once the file is uploaded, use the icons at the bottom to view, edit, download, or delete the file. 
- Upload multiple files of your choosing. Once files are uploaded and named correctly, save the profile. 
- Uploaded images and files will show a thumbnail when applicable, otherwise will show a file icon. The file may be downloaded to see its contents. 
- View the files by opening a customer/employee profile or in the summary sidebar on the employees and customers page. 
Reactivating a Deactivated User
- Select "Employees" from the pop-out menu in the top left corner. 
- Select "Users" at the top menu. 
- Filter your users by Status - Deactivated to find your Deactivated users. 
- Select the Employee from the list to which you wish to reactivate and select "Activate" from the pane on the right side of the window: 
- You'll be prompted to assign a Role to this user and confirm that they should be reactivated: 
- Select "Activate." The User will reappear as an Active User, and they will receive a new password reset email to reset their password and be able to log in to Flowhub Maui with their email address.
