Flowhub’s Shifts feature allows managers to track, edit, and manage employee time records to ensure accurate reporting and compliance. We’ll guide you through viewing, editing, and closing shifts so your dispensary maintains reliable time tracking.
View Employee Shifts
In Flowhub, select Employees from the left-hand navigation.
At the top of the page, select Shifts.
The Shifts page displays all employee shifts, including:
Open shifts (currently active)
Closed shifts (completed)
Edited shifts (adjusted by a manager)
Use the Filter options at the top of the page to view shifts by Date, Users, or Store.
To view details, select the shift to open the side panel on the right.
To view any changes to the shift, toggle to the Activity section.
Edit a Shift
If an employee forgets to clock in or out on time, you can adjust their shift manually.
From the Shifts page, filter by the employee’s name in the user list.
Select the shift you’d like to update.
Select Edit on the right side of the screen.
Adjust the Clock In or Clock Out as needed.
Enter PIN to Save.
Select Save.
The shift will now be marked in the list as Edited.
Close an Open Shift
If an employee forgets to clock out, you can close their shift manually.
From the Shifts page, locate the open shift.
Select the shift entry.
On the right side of the screen, select Clock Out.
Enter your pin to confirm and select Submit.
💡 Tip: Always review open shifts before finalizing payroll to ensure all hours are properly recorded.
Delete a Shift
If a shift was created in error, you can remove it from the system.
Locate the shift in the Shifts list.
Select the shift you want to remove.
On the right side of the screen, select Delete.
Enter your PIN to confirm the deletion.
💡 Tip: When a shift has been deleted, a "Deleted" tag will appear next to the shift. Once a Shift has been Deleted, it can no longer be Edited.
Add a Shift
If your employee forgets to clock in and out, you can easily add a shift to their profile.
Navigate to the Shifts tab within the Employees section
You will see the "Add Shift" button in the upper right corner of the screen
You will be prompted to select the employee the shift is for.
Once you are done, enter your PIN and save.
💡 Tip: If you need to create a shift for a different store, use the store switcher to navigate to that store and add the applicable shift there.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I edit multiple shifts at once?
• No. Shifts must be edited individually to maintain accurate audit logs.
What if I need to adjust an employee’s total hours after editing a shift?
• Edit the shift record, verify the start and end times, and save the changes. The system will automatically update the total hours.
Can I pull a report of all my employees' shifts to use for payroll?
• Yes. You can view and download the Shifts report in the Analytics section. For more information on pulling this report, see our article.
Do deleted shifts appear in reports?
• No. Once deleted, shifts are permanently removed from the Shifts Report in Analytics and will not appear in reporting or compliance exports.
Can an employee clock in at one store and out at the other?
• No. Shifts are store-specific and will need to be logged at each location specifically.
