Process orders for lounge guests, track multiple orders over time, and keep the tab running until checkout.
Process Orders
Navigate to the Cashier tab in Maui
Open the Queue side panel on the left of the screen
Select the table and customer for whom you’re taking an order. Their name will appear at the top of the screen, along with their current cart.
Add the items the guest is ordering to their cart as you normally would in Maui by scanning the barcode or selecting the plus button.
Select Send to Fulfillment.
When the order is ready for delivery, staff use the Order Ahead tab in the purple navigation bar and filter by Lounge to see orders tagged for tables.
Select the customer name.
Fulfill the order, then mark the order as Ready.
Once the order has been delivered to the table, mark the order as Completed on the Order Ahead tab.
Repeat the steps for subsequent orders—the cart retains previous orders, so the full tab accumulates until checkout.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I charge payment for each order as it happens?
No. In lounge mode, you generally keep the tab open and settle payment at the end. You could charge partially if policy allows, but the workflow is designed for a single checkout per guest.
Does the order-ahead/service area see the table number or the guest's name?
Yes. Orders include table assignment, so fulfillment staff know where to deliver.
