You can integrate your scale directly with Maui on your machine so that you and your budtenders can accurately price bulk flower. Flowhub Maui supports two scale integrations - one specific scale with Windows, and another specific scale with iPad. This article will guide you through setting up and using the Windows scale integration. For the iPad scale integration, please see our article on that here.

If you are not using a scale that is integrated into Flowhub, your budtenders will simply enter the amount of bulk grams sold in the cart at the time of sale.

If you are using Windows, Flowhub supports two scales for integration:

  • A&D FX1200

  • A&D FX300

    • These scales also require an additional component: a USB interface card to allow a USB connection to your computer.

    • This scale integration is only available for Windows machines (not available for Mac or iPad).

    • For the iPad scale integration, please see our article on that here.

You can review our recommended hardware for Flowhub Maui here.

Setup a Scale in Maui - Windows

  1. Connect the USB interface to the back of your A&D scale, then use a USB cable to connect the scale to your computer.

  2. With the Maui app open, and a cart with a Bulk Flower item in it, turn on the scale and place an item on the scale.

  3. Once the weight stabilizes, place your cursor into the quantity field in the Cart.

  4. Hit the print button on the scale.

  5. The weight from the scale will appear in the Quantity field in the cart.

Troubleshooting

If you have trouble with your scale, try some of the troubleshooting steps below.

  1. Check the USB connections on the back of the scale and the computer.

  2. Turn the printer off and back on.

  3. Recalibrate the scale. Please see the manual for instructions on how to recalibrate your scale.
