You can integrate your scale directly with Maui on your machine so that you and your budtenders can accurately price bulk flower. Flowhub Maui supports two scale integrations - one specific scale with Windows, and another specific scale with iPad. This article will guide you through setting up and using the iPad scale integration. For the Windows scale integration, please see our article on that here.
Flowhub supports one specific scale model for integration with iPad:
Star MG-S322
This scale integration is only available for iPad machines (not available for Windows or Mac).
For the Windows scale integration, please see our article on that here.
You can review our recommended hardware for Flowhub Maui here.
Setup a Scale in Maui - iPad
Make sure your Star MG-S322 scale is in "Bluetooth LE" mode (not Bluetooth paring mode).
With the Maui app open, select the printer icon in the upper right corner to bring up the hardware settings.
Download the Flowhub Maui app for iPad directly from the App Store.
Select "Scale Setup" from the lower right corner of the Hardware Settings page.
The app will search for the scale that is in Bluetooth LE mode. When it appears in the list, select it to connect the scale to Flowhub.
To check the connection, place an item on the scale and wait for the weight to stabilize. The scale weight will reflect in the Hardware Settings page.
Using an Integrated Scale in the Cart
Open a cart in Flowhub Maui on the iPad integrated with the scale and add an item sold by weight to the cart.
Tap into the Quantity field in Flowhub (which will bring up the iPad keyboard), then place the item to be weighed on the scale. Once the weight stabilizes, the weight will populate into the Quantity field in Flowhub.
Select the Enter key or tap outside the iPad keyboard to lock in the weight in the cart.
