Flowhub makes it simple to check a customer’s remaining gift card balance at any time. This guide explains how to view the balance and transaction history directly within the Cashier app.
Check a Gift Card Balance
Navigate to Cashier
Start a New Sale
Begin a new transaction as usual by adding a customer to the cart.
Select Gift Card in the upper right corner
Select Inspect & Reload
Enter the Gift Card Number
Scan or manually type the card number into the field provided.
Select Inspect
The current balance will display.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can employees look up a gift card without the physical card?
Only if the card number is known or saved on the customer’s record. Employees with permission to view analytics could also pull a gift card report to see any active gift cards and the balances associated with them.
Are gift card balances updated automatically after each sale?
Yes. Balances sync in real time once a transaction completes.
Can gift cards expire?
No, gift cards cannot expire.
