Please note that these instructions and compatible scanners are for Maui for iPad users only.
If you are using Maui for Windows or Mac, scanners are connected to the computer directly without any additional configuration necessary in Maui. If you are able to use your scanner to scan a barcode into a text editor or Notes app - you're all set. Check out our list of recommended hardware for Flowhub Maui here.
iPads work a bit differently, so check out our instructions below and directly in the app's hardware settings.
If you're using iPads to run Maui at your dispensary, Flowhub supports several barcode scanning hardware device options. These scanning devices are used to scan inventory barcodes to add items to carts.

Connecting a Socket D750 or Socket D740 to iPad
This scanner will be connected to the iPad by Bluetooth.
Open the Flowhub Maui for iPad app on your iPad.
Select the printer icon in the upper right corner.
Select "Scanner Setup" from the lower left corner of the Hardware Settings window:
On the next page, select the "Socket" tab underneath "Bluetooth Scanners":
Follow the instructions:
Ensure Socket Scanner is powered on and in Pairing Mode:
Power on the reader.
Press the trigger button, then the power button, and hold both until you hear 3 beeps.
Power on the reader, it will be discoverable.
Connect the scanner in the iPad bluetooth system settings.
Ensure the Socket scanner is in Application Mode by scanning the barcode.
Flowhub Maui will confirm when the scanner is properly connected, and you can scan a barcode to test.
Test is successful if the SKU that was scanned appears in the box.
Your Socket Scanner is ready to use with Flowhub Maui.
Connecting a Zebra 6080 Scanner to iPad
Open the Flowhub Maui for iPad app on your iPad.
Select the printer icon in the upper right corner.
Select "Scanner Setup" from the lower left corner of the Hardware Settings window:
On the next page, select the "Zebra" tab underneath "Bluetooth Scanners":
Follow the onscreen directions:
Ensure the Zebra scanner is powered on and not paired with any other device. It must be "Forgotten" by this device or any other device before pairing.
Initiate pairing by scanning the barcode that displays onscreen. The scanner will beep four times. An alert will appear on the iPad after a few seconds.
Tap "Pair" when prompted:
Scanner will show as connected on the screen.
Flowhub Maui will confirm when the scanner is properly connected, and you can scan a barcode to test.
Test is successful if the SKU that was scanned appears in the box.
Your Zebra CS6080 Scanner is ready to use with Flowhub Maui.
Connecting a Netum NT 1228BL to iPad
Open the Flowhub Maui for iPad app on your iPad.
Select the printer icon in the upper right corner.
Select "Scanner Setup" from the lower left corner of the Hardware Settings window:
On the next page, select the "NETUM" tab underneath "Bluetooth Scanners":
Follow the onscreen directions:
Ensure NETUM scanner is powered on.
Ensure scanner doesn't use a terminator character by scanning the barcode in the app.
Tap the scanner in the list to the right, which will likely have "NT Scanner" in the name.
Flowhub Maui will confirm when the scanner is properly connected, and you can scan a barcode to test.
Test is successful if the SKU that was scanned appears in the box.
Your NETUM 1228BL scanner is ready to use with Flowhub Maui.
