Create a Custom Carousel in Kiosk and Ecommerce

Flowhub Custom Carousels showcase specific products, categories, or promotions directly in the Kiosk or Ecommerce. They highlight what matters most to customers, from bestsellers to seasonal deals.


What is a Carousel?

A carousel is a scrolling list of products that allows customers to swipe horizontally, click buttons, or use other interactive controls to find products that spark their interest. By condensing multiple pieces of content into one interactive element, carousels enable efficient content display and maximize the use of limited screen space. Carousels can be created to:

  • Curate Inventory Lists: Create tailored inventory carousels to feature products that align with your customers’ preferences.

  • Customize Labels: Personalize each carousel with unique labels to capture attention and drive engagement.

  • Carousel Ordering: Control the sequence of carousels on your kiosk home page to highlight your priorities.


Turn on Custom Carousels

Before starting on custom carousels, confirm that the user's role includes the Ecomm permission.

  1. Navigate to the Ecommerce tab from the left navigation menu of the Maui application.

3. Select Customize from the top nav bar or the start button from the self-setup guide.

4. Navigate to Carousels in the customization menu. Check the Enable Carousel View box to activate carousels on your kiosk and Ecommerce.


Edit or Create a Carousel

  1. Select an existing carousel to modify it or select New Carousel to create one from scratch.

    • The Carousel that is highlighted is the one that is being edited under the Configuration section

  2. Give the carousel a creative name/label to attract customers.

  3. Refine the carousel content using filters such as brand, category, species, terpenes, or type. Filtered inventory will display in real time.

  4. Optional: Attach a deal to the Carousel. This will automatically apply a discount to the applicable items and create a little on-sale bubble on those products.

  5. Decide how products appear within the carousel—sort alphabetically, by price, or by best-sellers.


Reorder Carousels

  1. Drag and drop carousels to rearrange their sequence.

  2. Delete unwanted carousels by clicking the trash icon and saving

Can the same carousel be used for both Kiosk and Ecommerce?

Yes. Once created, a carousel will be applied to both platforms, keeping product promotions consistent across sales channels.

How many products can be added to a carousel?

There’s no limit. For the best customer experience, carousels should be concise (10–15 products) so they load quickly and remain easy to browse.

Is it possible to reorder products in a carousel?

Yes. Products can be rearranged within the carousel editor by dragging and dropping them into the preferred order.

Do changes update in real-time?

Yes. Once a carousel is edited, updates are reflected immediately in both Kiosk and Ecommerce.

Can multiple carousels be created?

Absolutely. Many retailers use several carousels to highlight seasonal promotions, staff picks, or featured brands.

What happens if a carousel is removed?

Carousels can be edited or deleted at any time. When deleted, they will no longer appear in the Kiosk or Ecommerce.
