Flowhub Maui allows you to create batch-specific barcode labels for your products with custom SKUs.

Is there an existing barcode on your Product that you want Maui to recognize when scanned, or would you like to use the Metrc Package ID as your SKU? No problem, customize the SKU!

Create Custom SKUs or Barcodes

You will need "Can Edit" permissions for Inventory and Products on your Role to be able to do this.

  1. Navigate to Inventory to find the item you'd like to customize the SKU for.

  2. Select the inventory item, then select "Edit."

  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and find the "SKU" field:

  4. Clear out the auto-generated SKU, and either paste in your new SKU, or put your cursor into the field and scan the existing barcode on the product. Here, we're using a Metrc Package ID:

  5. Congrats! You've just updated the SKU on this inventory.

Print Barcode Labels or Exit Labels

Note: Before you try to print anything, you should have your Maui App configured for your printer first.

If you're accessing Maui via the browser at app.flowhub.com, the barcode will open in a new browser tab when you select "Print."

  1. Navigate to Inventory (or Cashier) and find the item you want to print a Barcode.

  2. Select "View Details" on the item next to the Post-Tax Price:

  3. On the Details window that appears, select "Labels" at the top:

  4. Select your Label Type, and the # of Copies you want to print, then select "Print Label" at the bottom to print the label.

    • “Set Copies/Grams to Max per item” in Label printing so with one click you can set the Print Copies to match the number of items you have in inventory. For Example, There’s 21 Cartridges in this inventory batch, Select “Set Copies to Max per Item”, Copies will populate with 21 - then Print!

Bulk Print Barcode or Exit Labels

Note: Before you try to print anything, you should have your Maui App configured for your printer first.

If you're accessing Maui via the browser at app.flowhub.com, the barcode will open in a new browser tab when you select "Print."

  1. Select the checkbox for the inventory labels are needed for.

  2. On the right, a purple Actions button will appear

  3. Select “Print Labels.”

  4. Select "Barcode" or "Exit"

    • Barcode is generated from the SKU

    • Exit labels print information based on the state requirements. These are typically not required unless you package your products.

  5. Select the number of copies of labels or select “Set Copies to Max per Item” to print as many copies as you have in your Inventory.

    • If the item you're printing a label for is Sold by Weight, selecting "Set Copies to Max per Item" will keep the Copies at 1 and fill in the Grams based on your inventory quantity.

  6. Select Print and the labels will print!
