Transferring Inventory

This article will explain how to transfer inventory in Flowhub Maui.

Transferring inventory is a valuable feature for dispensaries with multiple locations. The ability to transfer products from one store to another allows for flexibility with inventory management preventing products from expiring or sitting on a shelf. This article will explain how to transfer inventory from one location to another.

Please note:

  • The "Transfers" tab in Flowhub Maui does not correspond to Transfers in Metrc. To import your Active Packages into Flowhub as inventory, use the Metrc tab. Transferring inventory within Flowhub will not create a manifest in Metrc.

  • If you are transferring a partial quantity, we recommend splitting the package first and putting the partial quantity on a new package ID before doing the transfer.


Initiate a Transfer

  1. Navigate to "Inventory."

  2. Find and select the item you’d like to transfer.

  3. Select "Transfer" on the right side of the screen.

  4. Enter a "Transfer Nickname"

  5. Select the Room from which you wish to transfer.

  6. Select the Destination Location of the item.

  7. Set the Quantity you wish to transfer.

  8. Select "Submit."

  9. Navigate to "Transfers" across the purple bar at the top.

  10. Select the Transfer name then Select "Start Transfer" or "Cancel Transfer". The Status on the Manifest will change from “Created” to “Sent/Received.”

    • Flowhub will display the total cost of goods in the Manifest, and the Manifest can be expanded in the right side panel to view/remove any items on the Manifest before sending to the Destination Store.

    • You are not able to transfer an item with a pending discrepancy.


Monitor and Accept Transfers

  1. Navigate to Inventory.

  2. Select "Transfers" from the top of the screen.

  3. Highlight the transferred item you’d like to accept or view.

  4. On the right side of the screen, select "Accept Transfer" or "Reject Transfer"

  5. Choose the Room you want to accept the transferred product into.

  6. Select "Submit."


Bulk Store-to-Store Transfers

Send a Bulk Transfer

  1. Navigate to "Inventory."

  2. Find and select the box to the right of items you’d like to transfer.

  3. Select the purple box in the upper right corner and select "Create New Transfer".

  4. Enter a "Transfer Nickname," i.e., Blazing Saddles to Ocean Ave. 4.20.2025

  5. Select the "Destination Store"

  6. If you would like to select specific quantities to transfer, select the "Select Quantities Box"

  7. Select "Transfer Items."

  8. Navigate to the "Transfers" tab across the purple bar at the top

  9. Select the Transfer name then Select "Start Transfer" or "Cancel Transfer". The Status on the Manifest will change from “Created” to “Sent/Received.”

    • Flowhub will display the total cost of goods in the Manifest, and the Manifest can be expanded in the right side panel to view/remove any items on the Manifest before sending to the Destination Store.

Accept a Bulk Transfer

  1. Navigate "Inventory".

  2. Select "Transfers" from the top of the screen.

  3. Highlight the transferred item you’d like to accept or view.

  4. On the right side of the screen, select "Accept Transfer" or "Reject Transfer"

  5. Choose the room in which you want to accept the transferred product.

  6. Select "Submit."


Best Practices:

  • Make sure you have the correct permissions for your assigned role.

    • Send Transfers: Gives the user the ability to create transfers to other stores.

    • Accept Transfers: The user can accept the transfer sent from another company location.

  • Price Profiles are set up at the company level to make transferring flower between locations seamless.
