This article is a guide through the setup and formatting of your receipt printer.
Plug your receipt printer into a power source.
Connect the printer to the computer using a USB cable.
Ensure the receipt paper is loaded correctly: Up from the bottom, not down from the top.
Ensure the receipt paper is the correct type: It must be thermal paper.
Press the "Feed" button to ensure the paper is ready to go.
Open the "Start Menu" and search for "Devices and Printers" on your Windows PC.
If you see your printer automatically added to this screen, skip to Step 3. (Note: If your printer shows as "Unspecified," then you’ll need to install the correct drivers from the manufacturer’s website. Check your Printer Documentation to download the required drivers before continuing.
Right-click the printer and select "Printing Preferences."
Set Paper Size to “72mm x Receipt”.
Select printing preferences once more and then "print test page."
If you cannot print a test page from this preference page, consult the troubleshooting section of the printer manual or manufacturer website.
Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Setup:

Install Adobe Acrobat Reader DC: https://get.adobe.com/reader/
Download this sample Receipt PDF file and open it using Acrobat Reader DC.
Select "Print" in Acrobat Reader DC with the sample Receipt PDF open.
At the top of the "Print" screen, select Receipt Printer (Note: If it's not on the list, go back to Driver Setup and make sure everything is correct).
On the "Print" screen, set the "Paper Size & Handling" option to "Actual Size."
On the "Print" screen, set the "Orientation" option to "Portrait."
Click "Print" to save these settings and test your work.
Flowhub App Setup:
Download and install the Flowhub app from https://download.flowhub.com
Open the Flowhub app and log in using your username and password.
With Flowhub open, press the "Alt" key on your keyboard to expose the top menu.
Click "Printers," then "Print Engine." For Receipts, select "Adobe."
Click "Printers," then move your mouse to "Receipts" and select your receipt printer.
Test your work by ringing through a transaction, or navigate to the "Adjustments" section, select a previous transaction, and click "Print Receipt" in the "Details" section.
Cashier App Setup:
Open the Cashier app and log in using your username and password.
With Cashier open, press the "Alt" key on your keyboard to expose the top menu.
Click "Printers," then "Receipts," and select your label printer.
You can then choose "Print Test Receipt" to ensure the printer is linked correctly.
