Flowhub keeps a PMP record for every medical sale and void in a New York store. With Download PMP file, you get all of those records for a date range in one download, so you no longer open each sale to download its file. In this article, we'll guide you through downloading the file and reading what it contains.
Before you start:
Download PMP file is only available for New York stores.
It shows only for users whose role can view compliance information.
The download holds the PMP records Flowhub keeps for your reference. It is not a submission to the state, and Flowhub does not send this file anywhere.
Download the PMP File for a Date Range
Navigate to the main menu and select Cashier, then select the Sales tab.
Select the date range with the date picker at the top of the list.
Each day runs from midnight to midnight in your store's local time.
The date range can be at most 31 days.
Select Actions.
Select Download PMP file.
While Flowhub prepares the file, the menu item reads Downloading PMP file…
Your browser saves a file named PMP-, then the start date, then the end date, ending in .zip. For example, PMP-20261024-20261024.zip.
💡 Tip: To get the file for one sale only, open the sale and use the files under PMP Report Files in its details.
Understand What the Download Contains
The .zip file holds two files with the same name as the .zip:
.dat file: The PMP records for every sale and void in the date range, in the order they happened. Each record is the same file you get from that sale's PMP Report Files.
.csv file: The same records as a spreadsheet, with one row for each item dispensed. Open it in Excel or Google Sheets.
A voided sale appears twice: once for the sale on the day it was completed, and once for the void on the day it was voided. The Record type column shows Sale or Void.

Important: The download contains patient information. Store it and share it the way your dispensary handles other patient records.
Set Up PMP File Permissions
Navigate to the main menu and select Employees, then select the Roles tab.
Select the role you want to update, then select Edit.
Scroll to the Compliance section and enable Can View.
Select Save.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why don't I see Download PMP file in the Actions menu?
The option shows only in New York stores, and only for users whose role has the Compliance read permission. Check that the right store is selected and ask a manager to review your role.
Why is Download PMP file grayed out?
Select both a start date and an end date first. The option is also unavailable while a download is in progress.
What does "still being generated or retrying" mean?
Flowhub has not finished creating the PMP record for one or more sales in your date range. The message lists those sale IDs. Wait a few minutes, then select Download PMP file again. Flowhub does not send a partial file.
What if a sale "cannot be converted to a spreadsheet row"?
Flowhub could not split that sale's PMP record into spreadsheet columns, so it stopped the download. Download that sale's PMP file from its sale details, and contact help@flowhub.com with the sale ID.
Can I download more than one month at a time?
No. The date range can be at most 31 days. If a range has more than 5,000 PMP records, choose a shorter date range.
