Bulk editing customers saves time when managing large customer lists. In this article, we’ll guide you through updating customers using Groups. Customer Groups enable you to tag customers for targeted deals or future marketing purposes.
Select Customers for Bulk Edits
Navigate to the Customers tab
Select multiple customers from the list by checking the box on the left
To select all customers on the page, use the checkbox at the top of the table.
Select the purple Actions button
Choose Add to Groups or Remove from Groups, then select the group(s) you want
Bulk Edit from Groups
You can also bulk manage members from within the Groups themselves.
Navigate to Groups from across the purple bar at the top within the Customers tab
Select the Group
Then select View Customers
Select multiple customers from the list by checking the checkbox on the left

Select the purple Actions dropdown
Choose Add to Group or Remove from Group, then select the group(s) you want
Bulk actions apply immediately to all selected customers.

Can a customer belong to more than one Customer Group?
Yes. Customers can be added to multiple groups simultaneously.
Will bulk editing customers affect purchase history?
No. Updating Customer Groups does not change customer purchase history.
Who can perform bulk edits on customers?
Users need to be able to edit customers & groups to bulk edit Customer Groups.
