Flowhub allows dispensaries to manage how SKUs are created for gift cards. By default, SKUs may be generated when a new gift card is added. This guide explains how to disable SKU generation in Store Settings to prevent duplicate or unnecessary SKUs.
Disable Generate SKU on Gift Cards in Flowhub
Navigate to Account
This will automatically bring you to the store settings tab
Under the Cashier section of the settings, select the Disable Gift Card SKU Generation box
Save Changes
Select Save to apply the update.
Please log out and then back in to see the change reflected in the system.

Frequently Asked Questions
What happens to existing gift cards that already have SKUs?
Existing SKUs remain unchanged. The setting only affects new gift cards created after the change.
Can SKUs still be added manually to gift cards?
Yes. Employees can assign an SKU manually if needed for reporting or tracking purposes, but the button for Flowhub to generate an SKU will no longer be visible.
Will disabling SKUs affect sales reporting?
No. Gift card reporting remains fully functional and continues to track all sales, reloads, and redemptions.
