Gift card reloading allows customers to add more funds to an existing card instead of purchasing a new one. This feature helps build customer loyalty and reduces waste from issuing multiple cards.
Navigate to Cashier
Start a New Sale
Begin a new transaction as usual by adding a customer to the cart.
Select Gift Card in the upper right corner
Select Inspect & Reload
Enter the Gift Card Number
Scan or manually type the card number into the field provided.
Select Inspect
The current balance will display.
Enter the value to reload on the gift card
Enter the price of the gift card reload
Most of the time, the value and price will be the same. An example of when this will not be the same is if you are running a deal like purchasing a $50.00 gift card for $40.00.
Complete the Transaction
Accept payment and finalize the sale.
The gift card balance updates instantly after the transaction completes.
Only the available balance on the gift card can be used as a form of payment when reloading a gift card.
For example: I have a gift card with a balance of $10.00, and I am reloading it with an additional $50.00; I can only use $10.00 during this transaction.

No. Gift cards can be reloaded as often as needed.
Why would I reload a gift card?
In many cases, reloads are great for customers who would like to set a budget for their spending. They can reload the gift card every month and use that to help budget.
