Enable Ecommerce

Instructions on how to enable the ecommerce website for your dispensary.

Flowhub Ecommerce makes it simple to connect a dispensary menu with online ordering, allowing customers to browse and shop easily.

Contact Flowhub (help@flowhub.com) to request access to Ecommerce. Our team will create an ecommerce site and then grant permission to the owner/general manager to complete the next steps.


Assign Ecommerce Permissions

  1. Select Employees from the left menu

  2. Go to Roles across the bar at the top

  3. Select the Role that should have access to edit Ecommerce and select Edit

  4. Assign the Ecomm permission to the necessary employees.

  5. Once assigned, the Ecomm tab will appear in their left-hand navigation (employees might need to log out and log back in to see this change reflected)


Make/Edit Ecommerce Room

  1. Select Rooms from the left menu

  2. Select an existing room or create a new room

  3. Mark the room as “Inventory available for Flowhub Ecommerce”


Set Ordering Hours

  1. Select Ecomm from the left menu

  2. Select Ordering from the bar at the top

  3. Enter Ordering hours and Store Hours

    • Ordering Hours - When a customer can place an order on the ecommerce site

    • Store Hours - The hours the store is open for customers to pick up or come into the store.

Customers can place orders after hours. However, this order will show up for fulfillment the next day.


Customize Ecommerce Store

Once the steps above are complete, customers can now place an order on the ecommerce site. Before the link to the website is shared with the public, we recommend customizing the Ecommerce site. Please review those steps in the article linked here.


Completion

That’s it! 🎉 Ecommerce has been set up and is ready to accept online orders. With permissions assigned, rooms designated, and ordering hours configured, customers can now browse and shop directly through the dispensary’s online menu.


Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: Is Ecommerce available to all dispensaries automatically?

A: No. Access must first be requested by contacting Flowhub at help@flowhub.com. Once approved, the Ecommerce site will be created and permissions granted.

Q: How do I connect my Ecommerce to my existing website?

A: Use the ecommerce link provided by Flowhub and link it to a Shop Now button on the existing website.

Q: Can I embed Flowhub Ecommerce on my website?

A: Not at this time. We have noticed that directing customers to a seperate shop now website (the Flowhub Ecommerce link provided by us) makes them more likely to get distracted from other website content.

Q: Can multiple employees be given Ecommerce permissions?

A: Yes. Permissions can be assigned to any role or employee who needs access to manage Ecommerce settings.

Q:What is the difference between Ordering Hours and Store Hours?

A: Ordering Hours: When customers are allowed to place orders online. Store Hours: When the physical store is open for order pickup or in-person shopping.

Q: What happens if an order is placed after Ordering Hours?

A: Orders placed after Ordering Hours are still accepted but will appear for fulfillment the following day.

Q: Can existing rooms be used for Ecommerce?

A: Yes. Any room can be marked as “Inventory available for Flowhub Ecommerce,” or a new room can be created specifically for online orders.

Q: Is customization of the Ecommerce store required before launch?

A: Customization is optional but highly recommended. Updating banners, carousels, and other branding ensures the online store matches the dispensary’s identity and creates a more engaging shopping experience.
