Stacking is the logic behind how Deals are applied together in the cart. There are four different options for stacking: All Deals Stack, No Stacking, No-Double-Stacking, and No-Double-Stacking of Buy Or Get Items.
Stacking is an internal feature in the store settings. Users must reach out to a Flowhub employee or contact Product Support at help@flowhub.com to set their deal stacking. By default, stacking is set to All Deals Stack.
Comparing Deal Stacking Options: One Cart, Stacked Four Ways
The following is an explanation of each stacking option and an example of how they behave in the cart.
Each example will work with the same products in each cart, and the same three Deals to illustrate how Deal Stacking can impact your discounting strategy.
Base Cart without any Deals applied: $125
Without any discounts, the three products in our cart example total $125 post-tax (âout the doorâ) without any Deals applied:

Veterans Get 20% Off on All Products
$5 Off Any Edible on Thursdays
Buy one 1 gram Cartridge, get a second 1-gram Cartridge for 75% Off
All Deals Stack
Every possible discount will be given to the customer. Item-level and cart-level deals will apply to all items in the cart. Products may be discounted more than once if they are eligible for multiple discounts.
Example: Deals Available are 20% off all products for Veterans, $5 off edibles on Thursdays, and Get a 1-gram Cartridge for 75% off when you buy another 1-gram Cartridge.
The less-expensive 1-gram Cart receives first the 20% off Veterans discount, then the 75% off Cartridge deal.
The Cookie Edible receives first the 20% off Veterans Discount, then the $5 off Edibles on Thursdays deal.
The more-expensive 1-gram Cart receives just the 20% off Veterans discount.
Total Discount for Cart with All Deals Stack enabled: $54
Total Cart for Customer: $71 post-tax Out the Door.
No Stacking
Customers may only redeem one deal per cart. If a customer or cart is eligible for multiple deals, the single best deal will be given to the customer.
Example: Deals Available are 20% off all products for Veterans, $5 off edibles on Thursdays, and Get a 1-gram Cartridge for 75% off when you buy another 1-gram Cartridge.
The discount is given to the less-expensive 1-gram cartridge as it provides the most significant single discount to the customer across all Deals available.
Customer does not receive either the 20% Veterans discount or the $5 discount on the Edible.
Total Discount for Cart with No Stacking: $30.
Total Cart for Customer: $95 post-tax Out the Door.
No Double Stacking
Customers can be eligible for multiple deals, but no one product may be discounted more than once. Items within "Buy and Get" Deals are eligible for additional discounts outside of the Buy/Get deal. If a product is eligible for multiple discounts, Flowhub will choose whichever results in the lowest cart for the customer.
Example: Deals Available are 20% off all products for Veterans, $5 off edibles on Thursdays, and Get a 1-gram Cartridge for 75% off when you buy another 1-gram Cartridge.
The less-expensive 1-gram Cartridge receives the 75% discount.
The more-expensive 1-gram Cartridge receives the 20% Veterans discount.
For an option that does not add additional discounts to Buy / Get items beyond the Buy / Get Deal, see the next stacking option below, No Double Stacking of Buy or Get Items.
The Edible also receives the 20% Veterans discount, as it is a better discount for this specific customer on that product than $5 off.
Total Discounts with No Double Stacking: $47.
Total Cart for Customer: $78 post-tax Out the Door.
No Double Stacking of Buy or Get Items
Customers can be eligible for multiple deals, but no one product may be discounted more than once, including any products within "Buy X , Get Y" Deals. If a product is eligible for multiple discounts, Flowhub will choose whichever results in the lowest cart for the customer, and once an item in a Buy X / Get Y Deal has been used to qualify for a deal, it cannot be used to qualify for or be discounted by another deal.
Example: Deals Available are 20% off all products for Veterans, $5 off edibles on Thursdays, and Get a 1-gram Cartridge for 75% off when you buy another 1-gram Cartridge.
The less-expensive 1-gram Cartridge receives the 75% discount.
The more-expensive 1-gram Cartridge does not receive any discount, as there has already been a discount on another item within the "Buy X Get Y Deal".
The Edible also receives the 20% Veterans discount, as it is a better discount for this specific customer on that product than $5 off.
Total Discounts with No Double Stacking: $38
Total Cart for Customer: $87 post-tax Out the Door.
Order Of Operations: How Deals Are Stacked
When Deal Stacking is enabled, deals apply in this sequence:
Any "Set New Item Price" discounts are calculated in order of lowest amount to highest amount, then
Any "Percent Off" discounts are calculated in order of lowest amount to highest amount, then
Any "$ Off" discounts are calculated in order of lowest amount to highest amount, then
Any Loyalty Points redemption discounts are calculated.
