Specials: Bulk Bud Specials Updates

Our most recent specials engine update includes fixes for bulk-bud specials that will look and behave differently. This will affect "Buy Something, Get Rewarded" specials that include the "Bulk Bud" category.

$ Off Pricing

Dollar-off specials now apply to weight units, instead of by gram. For example, creating a special for $10 off 3.5g of bulk bud will apply the $10 discount to every group of 3.5g in the cart. There is no longer the need to calculate the new price per gram.

Price Override

New specified price will now show as "Price Override". This special will also apply per weight unit instead of by gram.

Changes in Cashier

Discounts for multiples of the same inventory item or a heavy weight of bulk bud now appear on one, consolidated card.

Step Pricing Threshold

All bulk bud specials will take any step pricing into consideration when applying discounts to bulk bud on the price profile tier. The special will only apply to multiples of the qualifying amount. For example, if you have a $5 off special for bulk bud that is on price profile with a step pricing threshold of .2 g, this $5 off special will apply in the following ways:

  • 5.2 g will receive a $5 discount

  • 10.2 g will receive a $10 discount

  • 15.2 g will receive a $15 discount
