Access "Manage Specials"
Sign in to manage.flowhub.com to manage all of your specials. If you are creating specials for the first time for your location, the page will look like this:
As you add specials, they will appear on this page and allow you to view the details for each one.
How to Create a Buy Something Get Rewarded Special:
Click the oval "+New Special" button near the top of the page.
Enter the name of your special and select the option: "Buy Something, Get Rewarded," then select "Create Special."
You will then be guided through three pages to set up the parameters for your special.
Buy Something Get Rewarded special options:
First, you will select which customers are eligible for the discount under "Eligible Customers."
The specials engine will default to "Everyone" as the eligible customer type.
You can choose to have the discount apply to "Everyone," "Rec Only," "Med Only (Not Primary)," "Primary Only," or "Med or Primary" customers.
You can also specify specials by custom "Customer Groups" you have created in Flowhub.
Next, you will select which "Participating Locations" can apply this special.
Check or uncheck any eligible or ineligible locations for this special.
You can choose to have the special carry over to future locations by leaving the "All Locations (Current and Future)" checked. This will make it so the special will automatically be applied to any new locations.
You can edit the "Start Date" and the "End Date" to make a special available during a specified timeframe.
You can also specify a day or days of the week this special is valid.
If you un-check the "Ongoing Special" box, the current date will populate in the "End Date."
Here you can choose how this special will be applied.
By default, the "No, Special Auto-Applies" will be selected.
If you’d like to choose a redemption code, you can select "Yes." This will allow you to enter a custom case-sensitive code.
Min Subtotal is optional and can be used to set a minimum pre-tax subtotal that the customer would need to meet before qualifying for the special.
Combines with other specials checkbox determines if this special can be combined with other specials. If the box is checked, the customer will be eligible only for this special and no others.
Here you will select the product or products the customer must purchase to qualify for the special.
On the left hand of the screen, you will see a list of all available categories, and on the right, strains or product names.
You can filter based on "Brand," "Product Type," or "Product Category" when selecting a category.
For "Bud" categories, you will also be able to filter based on weight and price profile.
The view will default to "All Products." As you filter items, the "Inventory list" below will update.
Click the "+ Add Item" next to the product you want to add.
Once you select a product, the special’s details will update, showing you that you have set the "Buy Something" portion of the special.
If you select a product by mistake, click the three-dot menu to remove the product.
Once you have added the product, select "next" at the top or bottom of the page to select the reward the customer receives for their purchase.
What reward does the customer receive?
These are the options that you can select from:
$ OFF ON PURCHASE
This option will apply a cash discount for all products listed under "Transaction Includes." The price is based on the value entered.
% OFF ON PURCHASE
This option will apply a percentage discount for all products listed under "Transaction Includes." The price is based on the value entered.
SPECIFIED LOWER PRICE
This option will adjust all products under "Transaction Includes" to the specified lower price.
DISCOUNT ON ADDITIONAL SPECIFIED ITEMS
This option allows you to specify a different product on which the customer will receive a discount. The "Reward for Additional Products" dropdown offers the following options:
Dollars ($) Off
Percent (%) Off
Specified New Price (Shown below, this is the option we are using for our example of Penny Joints.)
For our example, we want our "Munchy Monday" special to:
Be available for everyone at all of our locations.
Active every day.
Auto-apply to those who meet the purchase requirements.
Apply one time in a single transaction.
To do this, we’ll do the following:
Name our special and choose the "Buy Something Get Rewarded" option.
Under "Eligible Customer," we will select "Everyone."
For "Participating Locations," we will choose ALL LOCATIONS (CURRENT AND FUTURE).
Leave "Timeframe" as is so that this special is always available.
For "Additional Settings:"
Leave the code required section set to "no, special auto-applies."
Set this to apply one time per transaction.
Leave the "combines with" box unchecked.
Check the special details to the right to verify selections, then choose "Next" at the top or bottom of the page.
For our special, we want anyone who purchases an "edible" product to receive the reward. To do this, under "Transaction includes," we will choose the following:
Chose: "Edible" from the categories listed on the left
Select "+ Add" to the right of "special applies to all Edibles."
Click the "Next" button.
This will direct to the "Customer receives" page of manage specials.
Select "Percent (%) off original Price."
Type in 50%. Note that if you create a special for 100% off, the price of the eligible product will change to $0.01.
On the left, choose "Edibles," then select "Special Applies to all Edibles."
Once selected, verify your special details on the screen to the right:
Choose "Save & Make Active." Your special will now be available in your specials list and active for customers.
"Save as Inactive" will save the special, but it won't be available for customers.
"Cancel" will cancel all changes, and you’ll be returned to the main page.
