How to Add Flower - Prepackaged Inventory Details

For a quick tutorial on adding prepackaged flower to inventory, watch this video:

Note: Please ensure that your Strains, Suppliers, Price Profiles, Product Catalog, and Rooms have been created before any inventory is added.

  1. In Flowhub, select "Inventory" from the left-hand navigation menu.

  2. Select the "+" button from the options at the top of the screen.

  3. You'll be directed to a page that will be similar to the following to add a new inventory item:

  4. The available options will change depending on the chosen category.

  5. Select "Flower - Prepackaged" from the category drop-down to add a prepackaged flower item.

  6. Depending on your local/state laws, specific fields may or may not be available.

  7. Any items marked with an asterisk (*) will be required.

    • METRC states will be required to enter a "Package ID" and "Batch ID."

    • The following are required by default regardless of state: 'Supplier Name,' 'Price Profile,' 'Strain Name,' and 'Childproof?'

    • The text fields will auto-populate, and the needed value can be typed in or selected from the drop-down.

    • For 'Childproof?' you'll need to highlight which option matches the packaging.

    • If you select "Not Child-Proof," you will get prompted/reminded that the user needs an exit bag at the time of sale.

  8. You will notice that once you select the "Strain," the "Cannabinoid %" section (if available) will update, and you will be able to adjust the ranges/amounts.

  9. Suppose your selection for a field is not available. In that case, you need to make sure it has been entered correctly in either Company Management (Suppliers & Products) or Location Management (Rooms, Strains, and Price Profiles).

    • If you do not have access to these areas, please reach out to a supervisor or your Flowhub Administrator.

  10. Once you have entered all supplier, strain, and product information on this screen, you can now assign the quantity, costs, and location details.

How to Assign Inventory to Rooms

You'll enter the Quantity, Room, Weight Unit, Cost/Unit, and the UOM (Unit of Measure) in this section.

Let's say you received a package from a supplier. The strain is: "Durban Poison," and you have several weight types.

  • 50 - Eighths

  • 50 - Quarters

  • 10 - Ounces

All the information for the items is the same, but you need to add these different weight types to your sales floor.

  1. First, choose 'Weight Unit" and select "Eighths."

  2. Enter how much each unit costs in the Cost/Unit field. I chose $10 per unit for my "Eighth" example.

  3. Enter the quantity of "50" and select the room as "Med Bud Room."

  4. For UOM, choose "Each" (if that is how your Flowhub is set up). You may also select grams if needed.

  5. Once those fields are entered, Select "Add Item," which will move those selections to the "Inventory to be Added" section.

  6. Do this for all three weight types.

Once all inventory is in the "Inventory To Be Added" section, choose either "Save and Close" or "Save and Add Another." The "Save and Add Another" option will refresh the add new inventory screen so that you can choose a new inventory type to enter.

You can now navigate back to inventory and see your added products:
