This article will show you how to add bulk flower items to your inventory.
Note: Please ensure that your Strains, Suppliers, Price Profiles, Product Catalog, and Rooms have been created before any inventory is added.
How to Add Flower - Bulk Inventory
For a quick tutorial on how to add bulk flower to inventory, watch this video:
In Flowhub, select "Inventory" from the left-hand navigation menu.
Select the "+" button from the options at the top of the screen.
You'll be directed to a page that will be similar to the following:
The available options will change depending on the chosen category.
Select "Flower - Bulk" from the category drop-down to add a bulk flower item.
Depending on your local/state laws, specific fields may or may not be available.
Any items marked with an asterisk (*) will be required.
METRC states will be required to enter a "Package ID" and "Batch ID."
The following are required by default regardless of state: Supplier Name, Price Profile, and Strain Name.
These fields will auto-populate, and the needed value can be typed in or selected from the dropdown.
You will notice that once you select the "Strain," the "Cannabinoid %" section (if available) will update, and you will be able to adjust the ranges/amounts.
Suppose your selection for a field is not available. In that case, you need to make sure it has been entered correctly in either Company Management (Suppliers and Products) or Location Management (Rooms, Strains, and Price Profiles).
If you do not have access to these areas, reach out to a supervisor or your Flowhub Administrator.
Once you have entered all supplier, strain, and product information on this screen, you can enter the package cost and assign it to a room.
Package Cost & Total Pkg. Weight
"Bulk Flower" is entered as a bulk item. This means that customers may purchase varying amounts from bulk flower inventory. On this window, you'll enter the total weight of the package and associated costs.
For example, let's say you have received 500 grams of the strain "Blue Dream" for the cost of $3,000. In the "Package Cost & Total Pkg. Weight" section, enter a package cost of 3,000 and a total package weight of 500.
Now that you have entered the cost and weight, you can assign this item to a Room.
How to Assign Inventory to Rooms
For this example, you have 500 grams to assign to any room in your location. Flowhub allows you to split the package up so that you can have inventory on hand for sales, as well as back stock to keep the retail floor tidy.
In this section, enter the "Quantity" and the "Room" and choose "Add Item." You will do this for the whole package until the package shows zero grams are remaining.
Once all inventory is in the "Inventory To Be Added" section, choose either "Save and Close" or "Save and Add Another."
The "Save and Add Another" option will refresh the add new inventory screen so that you can choose a new product to enter.
You can now navigate back to inventory and see your added items:
