In some states, specific customers and patients may be exempt from various tax rates but not all of them. Tax laws can vary by location, so Flowhub allows for the ability to exclude customers by customer groups.

This article covers assigning a group to a specific tax rate.

How to Exclude Customer Group from Taxes

  1. In Flowhub, select the small up arrow ^ next to your name in the lower left-hand navigation menu.

  2. Select "Manage" and then "Company Management" when it appears.

  3. Select "Taxes & Fees" from the "Manage:" drop-down menu.

  4. From here, select the tax rate you want to edit, choose "edit" under the "Details" pane to the right.

  5. In the "Exclude from Customer Group" option, select the customer groups you want to exclude one at a time.

  6. As you add the customer groups, they will list underneath the drop-down menu.

  7. Click the "X" on an added customer group if you need to remove it.

  8. Click "Save" to save your selections.

Now all customers associated with this group will be exempt from this tax. You can add a customer to a group through the "Customers" area of Flowhub.
