View Intelligence Dashboards

Learn how to navigate Flowhub Intelligence, explore pre-made dashboards, and use filters and date comparisons to monitor business performance.

Written by Valerie

Flowhub Intelligence Dashboards let you monitor sales, staff, inventory, and customer performance at a glance with visual, tile-based views. In this article, we'll guide you through navigating to Intelligence and using the pre-made dashboards so your team can start making data-driven decisions right away.

Intelligence is the next generation of Flowhub analytics. Think of dashboards as your storefront window: they give you a quick, visual snapshot designed for day-to-day decisions. Flowhub ships several ready-to-use dashboards so you can get value immediately without building anything custom. Analytics remains available alongside Intelligence so you can still use and sch.

Watch the video below to learn about dashboards in Intelligence.

Navigate to Intelligence

  1. Select the Intelligence tab in the left navigation.

  2. Select Dashboards to view available dashboards.

Use Built-In Helpers

  • Mini Tour: Select the tour icon to launch a five-step guided walkthrough that highlights key areas of the dashboard interface.

  • Feedback: Select the feedback icon to submit feedback directly from the dashboard.

Pre-Made Dashboards

Flowhub includes the following pre-made dashboards, each designed around a common business need:

  • Executive Overview provides high-level sales, revenue, and performance metrics across all stores.

  • Customer Loyalty & Intelligence shows new versus returning customers, active customer metrics, average spend, and acquisition trends by day of week.

  • Discounting & Margin displays discount dollar trends, revenue and profit by category, and top products and categories.

  • Product & Category Performance highlights what is selling, what is stagnant, what to restock, and top refunded products.

  • Multi-store Comparison offers side-by-side store performance metrics for multi-location operators.

  • Store Operations covers transactions per hour, cart values, popular categories, and operational patterns.

  • Staff Performance includes a team snapshot, upsells, transactions per hour, average transaction values, leaderboards, and average cart values.

πŸ’‘ Tip: If you are not sure where to start, select Executive Overview for a broad look at how your business is performing.

Use Dashboard Controls

Every dashboard includes controls along the top to filter and refine the data you see.

Show or Hide the Sidebar

Select the sidebar toggle to collapse or expand the left navigation panel, giving you more screen space to view your dashboard.

Set a Date Range

  1. Select the date range dropdown at the top of the dashboard.

  2. Select a preset range such as Today, Last 7 Days, or Last 30 Days.

    • To use a custom date range, select the dropdown arrow and choose your start and end dates.

Compare Date Ranges (Trend Mode)

  1. Select a Compare option from the dropdown next to the date range area.

  2. Small numbers will display beneath each tile showing how current performance compares to the selected comparison period.

    • For example, a tile may display "+84%" to indicate sales increased 84% compared to the same period last year.

πŸ’‘ Tip: Trend mode is a great way to spot patterns. If you see a sharp decline, you can investigate further by adjusting your filters.

Add Filters

  1. Select Add Filter at the top of the dashboard.

  2. Choose from available filter categories:

    • Purchase Type (debit, cash, etc.)

    • Voids

    • Order Type (walk-in, delivery, etc.)

    • Brand

    • Category

    • Customer Type

    • Employee Status

    • Store

  3. Select your filter values and apply them.

    • You can add as many filters as you need at the same time.

Work with Tiles

Each visual block on a dashboard is called a tile. Tiles are the building blocks of every dashboard.

Download Tile Data

  1. Select the download icon on any tile.

  2. The tile's data will download as a CSV file.

πŸ’‘ Tip: Currently, each tile must be downloaded individually. There is no option to download all tiles at once.

Edit a Tile

  1. Select the edit icon on any tile.

  2. The tile editor will display, where you can update:

    • Tile type (bar chart, KPI, line chart, etc.)

    • Metric type and specific metrics

    • Grouping options (if applicable)

    • Column width (half-row or full-row)

    • Title and subtitle

  3. Review the preview at the bottom of the editor to confirm your changes.

  4. Select Apply to save.

Manage Dashboard Settings

  1. Select the wrench icon in the top right corner of the dashboard.

  2. From the settings panel, you can:

    • Rename the dashboard.

    • Set Visibility to private (visible only to you), shared with all users with Intelligence access, or with specific people and roles.

    • Toggle Trend Mode on or off for the entire dashboard.

    • Drag and rearrange tile positions within the dashboard.

Great work! πŸ₯³ You now know how to navigate Intelligence, explore pre-made dashboards, and use filters and controls to focus on the data that matters most.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I compare two specific stores side by side?

  • The store filter does not support selecting exactly two stores for a head-to-head comparison. To compare stores, use the Multistore Comparison pre-made dashboard or build a custom dashboard with store-specific tiles.

Is Analytics going away?

  • Analytics remains available alongside Intelligence for the foreseeable future. There is no confirmed date to remove Analytics.

Can I download all tile data at once?

  • Not at this time. Each tile must be downloaded individually as a CSV file.
