Closing drawers ensures cash totals match sales at the end of a shift or business day. This process confirms financial accuracy and finalizes all transactions for the session.
Close a Drawer
Open the Menu in the upper left and navigate to the Drawers page in Flowhub.
A list of active drawers will display.
Select the drawer to close.
The drawer details side panel will open on the right side of the screen.
Select Count & Close.
A window will prompt for the Ending Cash Amount.
Depending on your store settings, you might need to enter a total amount or each cash denomination.
Depending on your Role Permissions, you might see an expected count, or the drawer might ask you to perform a blind cash count.
Enter the counted cash total and add notes if needed.
Select Save.
A pop-up will appear asking for your PIN number. This is so Flowhub can keep a record of who closed the drawer, regardless of who is signed in.
π‘ Tip: If your store has a set amount in the register, drop the cash sales before closing the drawer. This helps make sure the closing balance and opening balance are aligned.
