This article explains how to set and update both store hours (when your dispensary is open) and ordering hours (when customers can place online orders).

Setting these hours makes sure customers always see the correct times on your ecommerce menu and helps your staff manage order fulfillment smoothly.

⚠️ Your ecommerce menu will appear in read-only mode until ordering hours are set. Customers won’t be able to place orders until hours are added.

Store Hours vs. Ordering Hours

  • Store Hours: When your dispensary is physically open.

  • Ordering Hours: When online orders can be placed. These hours can be different from store hours if you need to stop orders earlier for preparation.

Example: If your store closes at 9:00 PM but you stop taking online orders at 8:30 PM, customers will now see both times clearly on your menu.

How to Manage Ordering Hours

To view or update your ordering hours:

  1. Log in to the Flowhub Back Office.

  2. Go to Ecommerce > Ordering > Ordering Hours.

  3. Edit the daily hours as needed.

    1. You can set hours individually for each day.

    2. Or apply the same hours to multiple days using the checkboxes.

  4. Click Save to apply your changes.

Example:

If your dispensary accepts online orders from:

  • Monday–Saturday: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

  • Sunday: 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM

Input these values to match your operational schedule.

How to Set Store Hours

  1. In the Store Hours section, choose your schedule type:

    1. Every Day (same hours for all days)

    2. M–F and Weekend (weekday vs. weekend hours)

  2. Click Set Hours next to each day to add open and close times.

If no store hours are entered, customers won’t see them on your menu.

What Customers See

When customers open your ecommerce menu, they’ll see store details in a new info drawer:

  • Store name with Open now or Closed status

  • If open: Accepting orders until [end ordering hour]

  • If closed: Accepting orders tomorrow at [start ordering hour]

Tips for Managing Ordering Hours

  • Adjust hours for holidays, staffing changes, or special events directly in the back office.

  • Consider setting buffer times before closing to ensure your team can fulfill same-day orders before the end of shift.

  • Check your order volume trends to optimize hours for peak shopping times.

FAQs

Can Customers Place Orders After Hours?

Yes! Customers can still browse your menu and place orders after hours. During checkout, they’ll be prompted to select a pickup time that aligns with your next available ordering window. This gives your team full control over when orders are received while offering flexibility to customers who shop off-hours.

What happens if I don’t set ordering hours?

Your ecommerce menu will be in read-only mode. Customers can browse products but won’t be able to complete checkout until ordering hours are set.

Can I pause online ordering temporarily without taking down the entire menu?

Yes. Simply clear your ordering hours in the back office. This will put the menu into read-only mode until you're ready to re-enable online ordering.

Do ordering hours have to match my store’s operating hours?

Not necessarily. You can set different ordering hours if you want to limit when online orders are accepted—for example, only during times when your staff is available to fulfill them.

Can I set holiday-specific hours in advance?

Currently, ordering hours must be managed manually. To update hours for holidays or special closures, return to the Ordering Hours section in the back office and adjust them as needed.

How often can I change my ordering hours?

As often as you need. Updates take effect immediately after you click Save in the back office.
